Reflective Fire Glass  1/2"from Fire by Design is made from tempered glass and manufactured to withstand harsh weather and extreme temperatures without sustaining any damage or discoloration. It also does not emit any harmful chemicals, smoke, soot, or ash.

Fire Glass, also commonly known as fireplace glass or fire pit glass, can be used in fireplaces & fire pits both indoor & outdoor, in landscaping, aquariums, & even in art projects!

With 9 Colors to choose from, it's up to you to decide what kind of look you are going for. From subtle to wild, the choice is all yours! 

How Much Fire Glass do I Need?

Fire Glass is only meant to be a Decorative “Topping” for a Fire Feature, so you only need to purchase enough to create a layer approximately 1 ½” to 2" in depth. Underneath the Fire Glass another filler material (such as Lava Rock) can be used to fill up the bowl to the level of the fire ring.

Please refer to the Product Page of your Fire Feature - There you will find how much Fire Glass it will hold.

We recommend installing a screen material to keep the Fire Glass from sinking below the Lava Rock. Stucco lathe for ceiling works very well as a screen material and is available in local hardware stores. Once you have the screen material in place, simply pour the Fire Glass on top.
