Rick Wittrig started cutting steel in Tennessee and never moved to a production line. Each Fire Pit Art design, from the animals to the globes to the cultural motifs, is hand cut from heavy plate, rolled, welded and finished by the same small crew, then stamped with its own number on a brass plaque. Nothing is stocked; your pit is built after you order it.

The carbon steel range uses quarter-inch and three-sixteenths mild steel, genuinely heavier than almost anything else on the market, and carries a 10-year structural warranty. The 304 stainless pieces, Bella Vita and the Fire Mesa, are guaranteed structurally for 100 years. Gas models add a stainless HPC Penta burner, lava rock, a flex line kit and burner plate, and either an all-brass key valve or the AWEIS electronic system.
