Fire Pit
Lower to the ground, typically 12" to 20" tall, with the flame set into a bowl or basin. Built to be surrounded by lounge seating, Adirondacks or a built-in bench.

Fire Table
Chat height (roughly 22" to 26"), bar height (about 42") or full dining height, with a usable ledge around the burner and often an integrated tank cabinet.

Four Steps to the Right Fire Feature
Shape & Size
Measure the open space first, then leave 3-4 feet of clearance on every side. Round and square suit corners, pool decks and tight patios; rectangle and linear anchor a long seating group. Use the Size filter to work in inches.
Natural Gas or Propane
Natural gas if you have (or can run) a permanent line, so it never runs out. Propane for flexibility and no plumbing. Pick the fuel before anything else: the burner and regulator are built for the gas you choose, so it is not a swap you make later.
Ignition
Match lit needs no power at all and costs the least. Electronic ignition starts from a switch, remote or app and needs power run to the unit. Some brands offer a battery-powered version that gives you push-button start with no wiring.
Finish
GFRC concrete reads modern and comes in a wide color palette. Powder-coated steel, copper and aluminum suit contemporary and industrial patios. Wood-grain finishes warm the space up. Every finish here is rated for year-round outdoor use.
